In this presentation we will talk about all things dog guides. What skills you need to be successful with a dog guide. How to research schools and pick the best one for you. How to prepare to go into class and what the class experience is like, and finally coming home and what life might be like with a guide.
BIO
Chelsea is a native of Nebraska. She received her first Seeing Eye dog Genie in 1990 before attending the University of Nebraska where she received her BA in psychology. Chelsea began working as an Outreach Specialist for The Seeing Eye in 2000. She travels through out North America educating people about The Seeing Eye’s program and dog guides in general. She currently resides in Dallas, TX with her husband, her retired guide Brooke, and her current guide Yen.
